Company Sista of the Month

Make-up and jewelry are some women's favorite things as they allow one to express one selves as well as to enhance their beauty.   The artistry of the application of make up and the exquisite jewelry styling has meshed into a successful venture for this Canadian business mogul of Indian decent.

Malinda's company Banglez produces a diverse array of stylish art with make-up and jewels that pay tribute to their features and culture.    "I own a make-up and jewelry business...They are both a form of expression that we as women use to feel more colorful and dressed up!", Her unique style with concentrated bold colors around the eyes generate strikingly beautiful results.

Her South-Asian roots are proudly represented in her business and continue to be her inspiration without limiting her diversity.  Malinda's image along with her jewelry styling encompass Bollywood, Bridal, Victorian as well as African.   Malinda's graphic design skills and knowledge have helped her in the aesthetics when it comes to creating a look to fit faces and features, while her investment banking background as an admin has assisted in the business and finance aspect of starting her own business.

When asked what she would do differently business-wise Malinda stated "There will always be obstacles and lessons, Especially when you are passionate about what you do, it's easy to get caught up in the moment and make hasty decisions. I think the most important thing that I've learned is patience. The 'big picture'  takes some time to achieve if you want to do it right... It really is a stepping stone process, if you rush into things you risk falling on your face."

Being under 30 and owning a business, Malinda has utilized any and all vehicles to her advantage, from the world wide web, networking and word of mouth to now having her creative services displayed and used by people in the arts and media to being displayed on the front cover of magazines.

Her mantra of business advice is "There is NO REASON why you CANNOT be your own boss! We are lucky to live in a place that we can dream big dreams and make them happen... we almost owe it to ourselves to TRY!"
