How it works:

·      Your web viewers click on the Top Sista banner/link on your website/blog, which leads them to a gateway page. 

·     If your website does not indicate they are voting for your website, the gateway page gives them the choice to enter the site without voting. 

·     Every unique hit/click "IN" counts as a vote (each viewer can only vote once every 24hrs). 

·     You must have your unique link code attached for the hits to count.  

·     Clicks "OUT" do not count in the rankings but can give you an idea of how many viewers have visited your site from Top Sista Sites/Blogs.

·     "Rate this site" and "Comments" are reviews web viewers can place on your link from 1-10.

·     The column which has "NR" (not rated) or number attached, is the average # (from 1-10) of ratings received by web viewers.

·     The rating average and clicks "OUT" do not count in the rankings but can give you an idea on how viewers like your website  and/or products and how many have visited your site from Top Sista Sites.

·     The list automatically refreshes every 30 minutes. You can be #40 at 3pm and in the top 10 at 6pm! 

·    The rankings clear every 30 days.  This gives every site the chance at the top spot. You can view the reset times at the bottom of the page.

·    Your description shouldn't have more than 256 characters or it will be cut off.  Describe all pertinent info only. (Tip: If you have a storefront, mention the city & state so people close by can visit. Offer specials to entice viewers to buy.)

·    Banner sizes default to 50x50 and may look distorted if the banner width and height aren't fixed to your banner's actual size.  The maximum width and height is 480x100 but we prefer most banners to be the standard 468x60 for a more uniformed look for  the list. ·    We named the list Top 100 Sista sites/blogs, but our list will span to as many sites that are approved!  The list will display the top 100 websites banners and the rest will display text links. Therefore, websites on the 5th page or higher may rotate with the website

title and description only.  As we are all visual people, once the images are gone the potential patron is gone as well.  Most web-surfers don't linger on sites and read through pages. So keep yourself in the top ranking!  

·    If you don't have a banner we suggest you get one. Banners are a necessity for online website advertising.  Banners are easy to create yourself with publishing software, free online websites or use one of the web/graphic designers in our directory.  Banners run from $5-35 each. 

·    To attract more viewers it is important the list present a professional cohesive appearance.  We will email you if we cannot find our reciprocal link on your website/blog and/if our banner/link is broken or distorted.  If it is not fixed or we do not hear from you,  we will eventually disable the website or delete it entirely from the  list.

·    If you do not want to provide a reciprocal link on your website/blog or want to ensure viewers will always see your site when they click in; we have affordable advertising space on the weblist on a limited first come first serve basis.  Click here for rates.

Top Site Rules: 

1. We require a link back to us from somewhere on the site that you are submitting. Otherwise you must pay for advertising. Once you have submitted your site, you will be given linking instructions if approved.

2. Only submit sites that are owned by a women of color or interest a woman of color. Unrelated sites will not be approved and is the list-owners discretion.  If your site is ambiguous please email us as to why we should accept the site onto the list.

3. Personal web-pages (ex: MySpace, facebook) will not be approved. 

4, Blogs will no longer be accepted to Top Sista Sites. Please join Top Sista Blogs

5. Changing the web addresses that was approved is prohibited.

6. Websites must be functioning and not under construction.

7. Please do not use ALL CAPS in your titles or descriptions.

8. Affiliate, consultants or independent reps must have their own website (or a webpage) and not just a link to another site or they will not be approved. (if you have a business such as this please join our free web directory)

9. "Members Only" websites/social networks will not be approved.

10. If you have an Etsy, CafePress, Zazzle page or similar that does not allow links. please add the link address to the profile/about us page or your business blog.

11. Please only submit sites that are in the English language.
 

12. Sites that contain illegal content will not be accepted into our list.

13. Submit your website only once. Repeated attempts to add the same website for multiple listings will be denied. 

14. Sites that contain overtly pornographic & offensive material will not be accepted into our list.

15. Once you complete the data an email verification will be sent called "Your Activation Key." Look out for this email  and respond or your website will not be considered until email verification is verified. 

Top Blog Rules:
